Create a New Asset

Overview

As you are working in the field, it is common to add new assets to a location. The mobile application allows you to quickly add a new asset for a customer. The ability to create assets requires different settings to be turned on in settings | Roles & Rights or USERS tab | [Selected User Profile] area of your account. The Admin will need to make appropriate setting adjustments to enable you to create assets. The following rights need to be turned on ‘Enable Asset Create’ and ‘Enable Asset View’

Steps to Create a New Asset - iPhone

  1. Select the Add Asset icon on the bottom of the Job Summary.
  2. Tap the NEW button.
  3. Enter all the appropriate information about your asset. The Name field is mandatory to create your asset.
  4. Select the Next button.
  5. Your device will sync, and the asset will now be available on your job.
OR
  1. Select the Home Icon, and choose the Assets icon.
  2. Follow steps 2-4 from above.
  3. Search or swipe to find the customer.
  4. Choose the appropriate location.
  5. Add the Asset area if needed. Otherwise, tap OK.
  6. Choose the contact or use ‘Tap here to use no Contact’ if there are no contacts available.
  7. The asset is added to the Asset List can be added to a job.

Steps to Create a New Asset - iPad

  1. Select the Assets tab from the left menu
  2. Follow steps 2-4 from above.
  3. Search or swipe to find the customer.
  4. Choose the appropriate location.
  5. Add the Asset area if needed. Otherwise, tap OK.
  6. Choose the contact or use ‘Tap here to use no Contact’ if there are no contacts available.
  7. The asset is added to the Asset List and can be added to a job.
